Friday 21st – STARVING ARTISTS & ASSOCIATED MINDS present…The BIG Jam!

Calling all musicians, DJs, MCs, B-Boys & B-Girls! We need YOU for THE BIG JAM!

Starving Artists and Associated minds are two driving forces behind the hip hop scene in Cardiff, promoting some of the most innovative local DJs, MCs, producers and bands as well as bringing  national and international acts to this fine city of ours.

The Starving Artists Jam Sessions are back, this time on one of the city’s biggest and best stages. Starving Artists are known for their Hip Hop based jams, however, they encourage musicians of all genres to come down and add to the melting pot to create a fusion of local, improvised fun. With the help of Associated Minds, there will be some of the best MCs Cardiff has to offer, along with musicians from the likes of The New Exhibition of Noise, Afro Cluster, Word Virus Essay, The Method and many more.

If you are interested in joining in just come down on the night, or if you want to know more then give us a shout here. Let’s use this as an opportunity to enthuse and infuse the great community of musicians we have here in Cardiff.

Don’t forget people, STAY HUNGRY!

Starving Artists started life as a collective of freelancers and professionals from many fields, and are now a fully fledged promotion machine with its own dedicated design, production and multimedia studio. Putting on nights throughout Cardiff and helping promote new and emerging talent is the main aim of the game. Starving Artists have put on some blinding shows in the past, featuring acts such as Lazy Habits, The Disablists, Word Virus Essay, Afro Cluster and their very own Skunkadelic, and they’ve also hosted stages with Associated Minds at the past two Oxjam Cardiff Takeover events.

Associated Minds are a ten-strong team, waving the A.M. flag in the name of this music and enthusiasm. Associated Minds stand for ignoring all the little sub-categories of hip-hop that scared divisive journalists make up. They don’t believe in the box. The only boundary that is there, is there to be pushed. They’re here to have fun with it. As a label they bring a guaranteed level of originality, style and personality with every single release, and their live shows are no different.
